Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a colossal sculpture carved into Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills region of South Dakota. It was completed in 1941 under the direction of Gutzon Borglum. The granite sculpture that stands 60-ft.-high depicts 4 U.S. presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
